(Nasdaq: CETX, CETXP, CETXW), a world leading technology and manufacturing company, today announced the Company is hosting a gaming coding challenge, a hackathon-style event, with Stony Brook University’s Computer Science Department to celebrate the upcoming release of the Cemtrex Smartdesk. Students will be challenged to modernize retro games by utilizing hand gesture-tracking technologies that have been integrated into the Smartdesk. The coding challenge will also be sponsored by Stony Brook’s Women in Computer Science (WiCS) organization and The Stony Brook Computing Society (SBCS).
The coding challenge will take place on Saturday April 28, 2018 between 12pm and 10pm in the New Computer Science Building, Stony Brook University. Students who will have the chance to win internships at Cemtrex, Oculus Rifts, Google Homes along with a variety of additional prizes. Winners may also have their project featured in the upcoming Cemtrex Smartdesk.
The Smartdesk is slated for release this May 2018. This advanced workstation combines and reimagines all the needs of the modern office in a beautiful, intuitive, sit/stand desk. For more information about the Smartdesk please visit, www.smartestdesk.com.
