DALLAS, Feb. 15, 2018 -- Capital Senior Living Corporation (the “Company”) (NYSE:CSU), one of the nation’s largest operators of senior living communities, was recognized by J.D. Power, a global market research company, as one of the top senior living providers in J.D. Power’s 2018 Senior Living Satisfaction Study.
The study, which surveyed 2,539 senior living residents and their families (or decision-maker), measured the overall senior living experience by factors of satisfaction and their importance, according to respondents. Factors included community staff, convenient location, food and beverage, room, building and grounds, senior service and activities among others. Capital Senior Living scored well above the industry average and ranked third overall among senior living operators nationally.
“We think of our residents as family and everything we do is to ensure they feel at home and thrive in our communities,” said Lawrence Cohen, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Senior Living. “Our wonderful employees have a passion for senior care and are dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for our residents every day. This recognition by J.D. Power for our resident satisfaction is truly a testament to their tremendous efforts.”
The rankings released by the 2018 Senior Living Satisfaction Study comes days after Capital Senior Living received the results of its own annual resident satisfaction survey, conducted by an independent third party, which resulted in 94.6% satisfaction among all residents across its 129 communities.
“Our residents deserve our very best every day. That has become a foundational element of our culture and permeates all that we do,” said Brett Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Capital Senior Living.
