“Mike is a respected leader with a proven track record of driving growth in a highly consumer-centric business at a time when technology was destabilizing the retail industry,” said Mark Ganz, President and CEO, Cambia Health Solutions. “Mike’s leadership and strategic financial expertise will help guide Cambia in answering the challenges of creating a health care system that meets the needs of individuals and their families. I’m delighted to welcome Mike as the board’s new Chairman.”
Michael has served on the Cambia board since 2009 and succeeds Mack Hogans, who has retired after serving since 2002. Most recently, Michael was the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Nordstrom, Inc.
Cambia has appointed three new members to its board, including;
Susannah Fox, of Washington, D.C., most recently served as chief technology officer for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where she created opportunities for entrepreneurship across the HHS workforce.
Tim Morgan, of Portland, Oregon, leads AAA Oregon/Idaho as president and chief executive officer, spearheading a services/products company attuned to the needs of an evolving and sizable membership.
Jim Reynolds, of Portland, Oregon, serves as vice president and general manager of Global Athletic Specialty for Nike and has deep experience in brand marketing and strategic planning.
“I am honored by the opportunity to lead the board as Chairman and help advise the company as it continues to redefine and transform the health care system to solve for each person’s unique needs and be more accessible, affordable and accountable,” said Michael Koppel, Cambia Board Chairman. “I am also pleased to welcome our newly appointed board members Susannah, Tim and Jim. Each are renowned leaders from their respective industries and their acumen will enrich the wealth of expertise we’re fortunate to have on the Cambia board.”
After serving for 15 years and acting as Chair for four, Mack Hogans has retired from his role in June. As Chairman, he provided outstanding leadership to the board and senior management, fostering a highly effective leadership culture and passion for health care innovation on behalf of the people and communities served by Cambia.
Also retiring is S. Fred Beck, who served on the board since 1997. Through his dedicated service and loyalty to Cambia, the company has successfully met many milestones while navigating the challenging dynamics of health care.
“On behalf of Cambia and the board of directors, I want to express our sincerest gratitude to Mack Hogans and Fred Beck for their unwavering integrity and dedication to catalyzing health care transformation throughout the years,” said Mark Ganz, President and CEO, Cambia Health Solutions. “Mack and Fred have been instrumental in driving our mission to create a person-focused and economically sustainable health care system for all. We are grateful for their leadership and lasting contributions and wish them all the best in their well-earned retirements.”
