About the Lawsuit
Colony NorthStar and certain of its executives are charged with failing to disclose material information during the Class Period, violating federal securities laws.
On March 1, 2018, the Company announced disappointing financial results for Q4 2017 and FYE December 31, 2017 including “a $375 million write-down of goodwill and intangibles” attributable to lower value in its retail investment management business and disappointing performance due in part to challenging industry conditions.
On this news, the price of Colony NorthStar’s shares plummeted $1.78 per share or over 22% to close at $6.00 per share on March 1, 2018.
