ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 07, 2017 -- BioInformatics LLC announced a significant expansion of its Strategic Directions International (SDi) division to enhance the range of market research products and services for the life science and analytical instrument industries. In addition, two other professionals have joined the company to increase the company’s outreach and support of its customers.
Alice Kan is the new Senior Market Analyst at the Los Angeles office of SDi. With an MBA in Business Administration and MS in Molecular Genetics, Alice brings strong technical, analytical and communication skills to the team. Two others with backgrounds in analytical chemistry will bring their hands-on laboratory experience to insightful reports produced by SDi. Ivan Gandayuwana was trained as a chemical engineer and worked in food safety testing before pursuing his MBA with a concentration in data mining, ETL, and correlation analysis for consumer behavior marketing research. Chris Ortega received his degree in chemistry and then worked as an extraction chemist at a medical device manufacturer where he routinely employed a wide variety of analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, GCMS, FTIR, and NMR, among others. All three analysts will be part of the group that produces the gold standard of market research in the analytical instrument industry – The SDI Global Assessment Report. The next edition of the SDI Global Assessment Report will be released in conjunction with PITTCON in March 2018.
Engaging with customers to understand their business strategies and needs for actionable market research is a critical element of BioInformatics’ growth. To this end, Christina Spell has joined the company as an Account Manager to develop new long-term relationships with strategic partners across the industry. Christina has 14 years of experience in securing business opportunities in the healthcare industry. Monika Mahajani will assume the role of Content Marketing Associate and will keep customers apprised of industry news, developments and market analyses.
