CHICAGO, June 08, 2017 -- ArrowStream, Inc., a supply chain innovator that combines expertise in data science and analytics to improve the way supply chains perform, today announced that its Director of Accounting and Compliance, Elizabeth Pittelkow, has been recognized nationally as one of the most powerful women in the accounting profession by CPA Practice Advisor.
The Most Powerful Women in Accounting list recognizes female leaders who are making the greatest impact on the tax and accounting profession. Finalists were selected based on their contributions to the accounting industry, actions they have started that make a difference within their organizations, personal leadership, community involvement, and mentorship of future women leaders.
Pittelkow started at ArrowStream in 2010 in the accounting department and now serves on the executive leadership team. Pittelkow’s efforts have helped transform the business structure by improving processes and inspiring leaders within the company. Most recently, her work was instrumental in the sale of the company to Diversis, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, California. Additionally, Pittelkow is a mentor and active volunteer for the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society. She also has a dedicated ethics column in the Illinois CPA Society’s INSIGHT Magazine. Pittelkow oversees accounting and compliance efforts at ArrowStream and also acts as the President of ArrowStream Toastmasters.
“I am grateful to work for a company that encourages me to pursue my passions and to help others achieve their goals,” said Pittelkow. “The support I receive from ArrowStream is something I have valued throughout my tenure at the company.”
Through the Most Powerful Women in Accounting awards, CPA Practice Advisor celebrates the increasing presence of women at the highest positions in accounting firms and organizations that oversee the profession, and recognizes those who have had the most impact. “These leaders are setting new standards for professionalism within accounting, and are shaping the profession through their work as partners, mentors, innovators and thought leaders,” said Gail Perry, Editor-in-Chief of CPA Practice Advisor.
“Elizabeth is an integral part of our sales and contracting process and adds tremendous value to our company,” said Jeff Dorr, Chief Customer Officer of ArrowStream. “She understands the multi-faceted nature of business and is always looking for ways to improve our processes and enhance the way we serve our customers.”
“I am thrilled for the opportunities at ArrowStream and in my volunteer roles to think strategically and innovatively,” said Pittelkow. “I look forward to continuing to lead and promote meaningful change in the way we as accountants approach business and inspiring others to do the same.”
