Live Photos, the feature that comes with the latest iPhones – 6s and 6s plus, is now available on Facebook’s iOS app. Live Photos are 1.5 second videos that leaves an impression of a live moment, India Today reported.
"Beginning Monday, Dec. 21, users of the Facebook iOS app can now share and experience Apple's transformative new approach to photography, Live Photos, on the Facebook app. The addition of Facebook's Live Photos implementation builds on Tumblr's recent support for Live Photos in its iOS app," said Apple in an official release.
The feature is not just limited to iPhone 6s users, rather it is viewable by users running iOS 9. Users have to simply press and hold on the image.
The Verge explains that to post a Live Photo, Facebook users need to upload photos and as they upload they have to check the lower-right corner of the photo, where it says "Live." Once it is published on Facebook's News Feed, the followers (running iOS 9 or above) can view the Live Photo. It will also be visible to users of the Apple Watch and OS X El Capitan.
The social networking giant will initially offer the feature to a limited number of users, and gradually roll it out to a broader user base in the coming weeks.
