ANAREN RECEIVES $31.0 MILLION CONTRACT TO SUPPORT RADAR PRODUCTION
Syracuse, NY – May 30, 2017 | Anaren, Inc. announced today that it has received an order from Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems for $31.5 million for complex RF Beamforming assemblies in support of the U.S. Navy’s new AN/SPY-6(V) Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR). Work will begin immediately at Anaren’s East Syracuse, NY facility, with support from its facilities in Salem, NH and Littleton, CO.
This contract is part of the AN/SPY-6(V) Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) phase of the program, recently awarded to Raytheon. The value to Anaren is approximately $97 million, if all included LRIP options are exercised.
The AN/SPY-6(V) AMDR is the Navy's next generation integrated air and missile defense radar planned for the DDG 51 Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyers. Raytheon is the prime contractor on the Navy program, responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of the new, highly scalable, and energy-efficient advanced radar system for the detection of ballistic missiles and air/surface targets.
“Anaren’s use of unique beamformer design technology and vertically integrated production packaging techniques enables us to deliver high performance, complex RF assemblies critical to the mission requirements for the radar,” said Mark Kosalek, Anaren Vice President of Business Development. “We look forward to a continued partnership with Raytheon on this vital program, as well as any future derivative systems that the U.S. Navy may require for the defense of our warfighters.”
