Agencies dismiss reports of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and VIXX's Ravi dating

Girls' Generation / Twitter

Following the previous reports of Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and VIXX’s Ravi supposedly dating, their respective agencies have responded. Both SM Entertainment and GROOVL1N have dismissed the claims.

Taeyeon and Ravi’s respective agencies have denied the reports of the two singers dating. Speaking to news outlet Sports Kyunghyang, Taeyeon’s agency SM Entertainment said that the two singers are not dating but only close colleagues that work on music. Ravi’s agency GROOVL1N also issued the same response, saying that they are only colleagues and they are not dating. GROOVL1N also requested that people refrain from making speculations.

The responses from both agencies come as another news outlet, Joy News 24, first reported over the weekend that both Taeyeon and Ravi have been in a relationship for a year. The outlet cited a source close to both singers who said that the two met through a mutual acquaintance. The outlet further noted that Taeyeon and Ravi were seen entering the VIXX member’s home on December 25, Christmas day.

Both singers are currently fixed members of variety shows with Taeyeon on “Amazing Saturday” on tvN and Ravi on “2 Days & 1 Night” which is currently on its fourth season on KBS. Taeyeon is also scheduled to perform at the upcoming SMTOWN LIVE: Culture Humanity online concert along with her fellow SM Entertainment artists on January 1, 2021, which will be shown on Naver’s Beyond Live platform.

Taeyeon has also made another solo comeback with a new mini-album “What Do I Call You?” and the title track of the same name back on December 15 and won first place on Inkigayo on Sunday, December 27. The Girls’ Generation member won this week with 5,744 points against TWICE’s “I Can’t Stop Me” which had 5,104 points and Kyung Seo’s “Shiny Star” with 4,985 points. The results were released through the SBS website as the weekly music program is currently on its three-week hiatus.

The singer’s title track was written by Kenzie and composed by Linnea Sodahl, Caroline Pennell, and David Pramik. The song talks about the feelings that remain between a couple after a breakup.
