Acacia Communications relocated and expanded its corporate headquarters within the Mill and Main development in Maynard, a location that has housed the company’s headquarters since 2009. The company’s relocated headquarters now consist of 114,700 square feet of new office and lab space in the historic brick and beam building, a facility whose history of innovation traverses from the early days of textiles to the dawn of Massachusetts’ high-tech economy -- Digital Equipment Corporation once called the building home -- to growing, successful organizations like Acacia Communications.
The second site, Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey was home to some of the greatest technological achievements of the 20th century as part of the Bell Labs organization. Acacia Communications’ office and lab space consists of 26,200 square feet located in the now redeveloped “live-work-play” center which also houses offices, retail, a hotel, and Holmdel’s Library.
“The opening of our expanded and new offices in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Canada signifies our commitment to serving our customers all around the globe,” said Raj Shanmugaraj, President and Chief Executive Officer of Acacia Communications. “In-house, world-class lab space is just one of the resources that enable us to develop and bring to market award-winning products that empower our cloud and service provider customers to meet fast growing consumer demands for data.”
The company also announced an addition to its growing global presence with its new 10,400 square feet facility in Ottawa, Canada. To strengthen its global footprint and better serve its customers worldwide, Acacia Communications has previously opened offices in California, China, India, Ireland and the United Kingdom. A list of office locations is available on the company website.
