His doctoral work seeks to understand the monetisation of Chinese video games through the lens of players, developers, and regulations. He completed his masters in USYD, where he explored the appeal of the Nintendo Switch and articulated the notion of hybrid gaming. Part of the work has been published in the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences.
