Patrik Wikström is a principal research fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence of Creative Industries and Innovation, QUT. Dr. Wikström’s research is primarily focused on innovation and learning in the creative industries. He is the author of ‘The Music Industry: Music in the Cloud’ at Polity Press and has published his research in journals such as Technovation, International Journal of Media Management, Journal of Media Business Studies, Journal of Music Business Studies and Popular Music & Society. Dr. Wikström has served as a faculty member at Northeastern University (Boston, USA), Jönköping International Business School (Jönköping, Sweden) and Karlstad University (Karlstad, Sweden) and he has been a visiting scholar at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). Dr. Wikström received his Ph.D. from Karlstad University in Media and Communication Studies and he is a graduate from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) where he received a master’s degree from the School of Technology Management and Economics. Before his academic career, Dr. Wikström worked in the European media and telecom industry where he held positions as business development manager and strategy consultant.
