Tamar Hopkins was the founding lawyer of the Police Accountability Project at the Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre in Victoria and its principal solicitor for over 10 years. She acted as a solicitor in the ground breaking cases of Haile-Michael & Ors v Konstantindis & Ors and Horvath v Australia. She is currently researching racial profiling for a PhD under the supervision of Professor Janet Chan, Dr Victoria Sentas and Professor David Dixon at UNSW.
