I provide historical context to current perplexing issues relating to drugs and alcohol. I research the history of drug and alcohol control and prohibition. My research is centred in Canada but takes a broad geographical and historical focus. I have also written op eds on both liquor control and drug legalization, as well as on the so-called opioid crisis.
