Candace Johnson is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Guelph. Her areas of expertise include reproductive rights and justice, maternal health, gender and politics, human rights, and Latin America. Her current research projects include an examination of global maternal health initiatives in Guatemala and Mexico, and an examination of the affective legacy of #MeToo. She is the co-director of the grounded and engaged theory lab (GET lab).
