I am a registered clinical psychologist with a PhD in clinical psychology and a senior research fellow based in the Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology, working the area of child maltreatment. I also hold an adjunct position at the Parenting and Family Support Centre at The University of Queensland. The overarching theme of my research interests is how to best support and protect children and families. This has included extensive work with evidence-based behavioural family interventions, specific work with families in different contexts (e.g., working parents and parents across different cultures), and in research with end world impact. I have published in many international peer reviewed journals in the area of parenting and child behaviour and am called upon by the media to provide comment on family issues.
