Dr. Julia Lockheart is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Contextual Practices at Swansea College of Art, UWTSD and Associate Lecturer in Design at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is director of the Writing-PAD Network (www.writing-pad.org) and co-founder and co-editor of the Journal of Writing in Creative Practice (published by Intellect). Julia’s research and teaching focuses on collaborative writing for design teams, and the combinatorial use of imagery, writing and language as tools for exploring the articulation of practice in art and design. Since 2016, Julia has been one half of the art science collaboration DreamsID with Professor Mark Blagrove (DreamsID.com). Their forthcoming book The Science and Art of Dreaming is due in 2021 (Routledge). She has taught, presented and published both nationally and internationally.
