China researcher, Department of Security Studies and Criminology, Macquarie University
I research China's foreign and security policy. My current projects focus on China's military reform and modernisation; strategic (nuclear, space, and information warfare) forces; and approach to strategic deterrence. I am currently affiliated with Macquarie University in Sydney. Previously, I worked as a China consultant, a policy advisor for the Australia Government, and a researcher at the Australian Centre on China in the world.
My writings on China issues have appeared in a wide range of academic, policy and popular publications, and I host the On China Podcast, a series of conversations on China in the world.
