Andrew completed his PhD in 2005. He is a Group Leader in the Metabolic and Vascular Physiology Laboratory at Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. His major research goal is the development of strategies to treat and prevent obesity with particular emphasis on understanding brown fat in humans.
Andrew has a multi-disciplinary track record having published work in the fields of exercise and metabolic physiology and cell biology in models including immortalised and primary cell culture, animals and human metabolic and clinical studies.
