Assistant Professor of Finance, Grenoble École de Management (GEM)
Since 2018 Florian Kiesel is an Assistant Professor for Finance at the Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. He previously studied Mechanical Engineering with Business Administration and worked for two years as Postdoc Researcher at the Chair of Corporate Finance, both at Technical University of Darmstadt. In 2016, he was visiting the Cass Business School in London, and, during his studies, he worked for international companies in Germany and China.
His primary research interest lies in the area of corporate finance and empirical finance, with a special focus on the impact of credit ratings and firm risk. In particular he investigates the relationship between credit rating agency reports and information contained in credit default swap (CDS) spreads. His works also cover regulatory changes and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.
