Professor of Political Science, Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz
I am professor of Political Science at the University of Mainz. Before moving back to Germany, I was lecturer in German and European Politics at the University of Essex. In 2017/18, I was the Hannah Arendt Visiting Chair in German and European Studies at the University of Toronto.
Most of my research centres on political attitudes and political behaviour in Germany and Western Europe. I'm particularly interested in the Populist Radical Right and their voters.
