Policy and Data Analyst, University of Birmingham
Laura joined the University of Birmingham's City Region Economic and Development Institute unit (City-REDI) as a Policy and Data Analyst in November 2018. She has recently completed her PhD in Marketing (funded by the ESRC), looking at stakeholder participation in city branding. This research evaluates the ways that stakeholders can work together to present the social, economic and cultural advantages of cities and regions.
While completing her PhD, Laura worked as a Research Associate analysing the impact of digital technology for small business innovation and growth across Wales. Laura is also a co-editor of a research anthology on cultural heritage. Her overall research interests include place governance, place management, small business governance and business innovation.
