“World of Warcraft Classic” will be coming out this month, and anticipation for it is higher than ever. Now, that excitement has been pushed further as community manager Kaivax announced that a pre-launch test will be conducted on Aug. 8 and will end on Aug. 9.
The developers are encouraging its player base to participate in the testing, especially in the first two hours, as they’ll be actively monitoring “World of Warcraft Classic” during this time. In turn, the test will tremendously help the developers in making sure that the game will run smoothly come launch day.
The community, of course, are more than happy to comply and is gearing up for the “World of Warcraft Classic” launch test. Aside from the announcement, Kaivax has also provided the minimum spec requirements to play the game.
World of Warcraft Classic will not require a lot of hard drive space
“In our hardware testing, we found that we were able to successfully run [World of Warcraft] Classic on systems manufactured and released in the 2007-2009 timeframe. And thanks to improvements in how we build and distribute game data, the hard drive space requirements are actually smaller than they were in version 1.12 of original WoW.” (See the full list here).
Suffice to say that the community is pleased with this development and have expressed their appreciation on the forums. The “World of Warcraft Classic” developers have done a great job in meeting the expectations of the players and has intently listened to the suggestions offered by those who have been testing the game.
World of Warcraft Classic officially launching on Aug. 27
Indeed, even before the beta, the communication between the community and developers has been nothing short of stellar. From PVP and potential loot abuse to the overall re-experience, the developers are ensuring that “World of Warcraft Classic” will be the nostalgic dose that everyone has been craving since Blizzard announced the news last year.
Even bugs and clunky mechanics will be making their way into the game, the former being a point of confusion for beta testers in previous months. As for when “World of Warcraft Classic” will officially launch, Blizzard has slated it to drop on Aug. 27. Hopefully, the servers can handle the influx of players as it’s expected that the launching will be attracting at least one million players, a testament to the game’s seemingly immortal presence in the gaming ecosystem, Gambling News reported.
