The developers of “World of Warcraft Classic” has recently released an update regarding the progression of the rekindling. Community manager Kaivax thanked the fans who have diligently reported bugs and other issues that they’ve found on the demo.
“One thing many players noticed was the incorrect health regeneration and the spell critical hit multiplier. Good catch! Going into the demo, we thought we’d fixed that and were surprised to see the issue crop up. Before BlizzCon, we specifically checked health and mana regeneration, and fixed the critical hit cases. We also did combat and regeneration tests to make sure we had those accurate.” Kaivax went on to explain that some of the bugs found in the “World of Warcraft Classic” demo have been intentional.
For instance, players were pointing out that Warlocks shouldn’t be losing their current demon when summoning a new one. When the developers checked in on this, the supposed bug was actually in line with the game mechanics of “World of Warcraft Classic.” And speaking of gameplay, Kaivax said that most of their efforts were focused on this regard as they want to recapture the magic that the game offered more than a decade ago.
The community manager ended the update by saying that more information will be coming “soon.” Needless to say, the fans were happy that the developers have broken their silence about “World of Warcraft Classic.”
Former community manager Ythisens previously said that the reason why they were quiet about the rekindling is that they have no significant info to offer. Unfortunately, Ythisens will not be updating “World of Warcraft Classic” from now on as he’s been one of the employees that have been affected by the massive layoffs done by Blizzard.
Fans were outraged that Ythisens got fired as he’s been one of the most beloved community managers of the game and has been a consistent voice of the players for a long time. As for the release date of “World of Warcraft Classic,” it’s been slated to drop sometime in the summer.
