Tom Cruise recently trended on social media after posting a video of himself in London and he was on his way to watch Christopher Nolan’s movie “Tenet.” What is interesting in his video is the fact that he was wearing a mask and was with the rest of the public audience when viewed the film.
Watching a movie in disguise without the bodyguards
It was clear that he was trying to hide his identity by wearing the mask and it was the perfect disguise because it is also a necessity due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the clip that Tom Cruise posted on Aug. 26, he could be seen riding a cab and on his way to the cinema.
At one point, some kids took a photo of him while his window is open and the “Mission Impossible” actor was surprised. He waved at them when they were about to roll again and then said: “How does that happen? I’m wearing a mask.”
Surely, some people can still recognize him even with the mask on but it was a different scenario when he arrived in theaters. He sat among the public and since it was also dark, no one recognized him so Tom Cruise said that he really enjoyed his movie outing.
The actor’s review of ‘Tenet’
While coming out of the movie house, Tom Cruise said that it was a great movie and he loves it. He was excited when he arrived to watch and it didn’t disappoint him.
His caption on the video also clearly showed that he really like Christopher Nolan’s action film.
"Big Movie. Big Screen. Loved it," Cruise wrote in the caption.
Netizens and fans react to Tom’s video
Many were so surprised after seeing Tom Cruise’s video clip. Mostly, people had this reaction because the actor rarely promotes another movie on his social media account. He doesn’t even re-post any photos or videos of movies so it was something very new to the fans.
At any rate, there were also others who expressed concerns after seeing him go out to watch a movie. They said that it is still risky to go to cinemas while others praised him for wearing a mask while others are in awe.
“Biggest stunt here is you riding in an actual cab,” Cliff Bleszinski commented. “Big fan nonetheless.”
