The wait for “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will be over in a few months. However, anime fans should know that not all familiar faces from the first season will be around.
Shizuku Kitayama was one of the most memorable supporting characters in the anime. Despite being one of the top Bloom students, she was one of the few who were not rude to Tatsuya Shiba even though he was classified into the so-called Weeds or known as the “irregulars” in the school.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 spoilers: Where is Shizuku Kitayama going?
Anime fans should note, though, that Shizuku is not going to appear as much in “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 as she did in the first installment. The upcoming season will cover the Visitor Arc, where the First High School enters a foreign exchange student program with the United States of North America (USNA).
The USNA sends Angelina Kudou Shields to Japan while Shizuku will be temporarily attending school in USNA. But if “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will not change too many details from the light novel, fans can still expect Shizuku to appear in a few episodes.
While Shizuku’s appearance will be limited in “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2, her brief screentime will be proven to be important. In the light novel, Shizuku delivered a key piece of information she learned while in USNA that would help Tatsuya in understanding the Paranormal Parasite that will plague them in the upcoming episodes.
With “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 confirmed to cover just one story arc, Shizuku is unlikely coming back before the finale. Fans of the character might have to wait until a new season is announced to see her return to First High School.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 release date, episode count
“The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 is confirmed to premiere sometime in July. Eight Bit, which produced the interlude anime film in 2017, will return to work on the new episodes.
The number of episodes has not been announced yet. But with “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 covering only one story arc, it could mean there would just be one cour this year.
