The eighth season of “The Curse of Oak Island” is anticipated as there are still a lot of things to investigate in Nova Scotia. Aside from the fabled Money Pit, Rick and Marty Lagina’s latest discoveries led them to believe that they are digging more than the treasures on the island as they may also rewrite the history with their findings.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 is next after the seventh installment ended last month. It was a great season because the team is now looking forward to discovering more secrets on the island, and most of them are related more to Nova Scotia’s history than the treasures that were supposedly buried there.
The end of a season recap
The final chapter of the previous season concluded in episode 23 titled “Timeline.” All the team members have gathered in the war room, and they were impressed to see that they have actually discovered that there were human activities on the island as early as the late 1100s.
Based on history, the island was inhabited, and no one set foot on it until the Money Pit was built to hide the treasures. This is why they are excited, and they want to dig more to find out what really happened there long before the valuables arrived.
Will it be renewed?
Of course, before the Lagina brothers and their team of experts could proceed, History must renew “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 first. However, there is no news from the channel yet. Still, everyone is confident that the program will be back next year.
In the war room, all the team members also expressed their willingness to participate in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 again, so even though they may not have enough funds today; they may raise money and go back to digging until they find answers.
When “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 returns, they will also investigate Samuel Ball’s property again. They found an ancient tunnel there and they need to dig deeper to see where it will lead them. Perhaps, the theory that Ball was the first man to find the treasure is true and he could have hidden his stash there.
When will it be released?
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 will not be returning this year. It is predicted to be back some time in 2021.
