“The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 will be airing soon and much like the many so-called documentaries about aliens and megalodons, there is no doubt that it will entertain. However, just as the past six seasons of this show had made absolutely clear, there is no hope in finding the treasure. This is why a development where there will be no season 8 only makes sense.
While there is currently no specific date as to when “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 will be coming out, it is expected to premiere sometime around November of this year, Business Times reports. The show will be picking up where the finale of the sixth season ended, which isn’t much, to begin with. Among the potential points brought up in the last season is the possibility of there being a shipwreck under the earth.
How this could have possibly happened is anyone’s guess, but this show has always latched on to farfetched ideas and had a lot of success in throwing them at viewers to stick. Based on how the sixth season did, “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 might get the same level of attention. This is regardless of whether the treasure is found or not.
Perhaps the real curse of “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 will finally be revealed this season, and it turns out to be nothing more than the sad act of watching such a show. Of the last six seasons, there have been no major discoveries, after all. How anyone can think that there would be a breakthrough this season is quite the wonder to behold.
If there is no other season past “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 and the upcoming one turns out to be the last, it would certainly not be a surprise. Either way, viewers will have to wait until after the November premiere to find out.
