Teasers for the upcoming episodes of “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 are promising fans there will be an “abundance of ancient structures” to be discovered within Smith’s Cove. Aside from finding artifacts, Rick and Marty Lagina’s team is expecting to find more clues to where the real Money Pit is.

The excavations in Smith’s Cove have, so far, not disappointed the cast and the viewers. Back in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 9, the team found a u-shaped wood with Roman numeral markings and was also stuffed with blue clay. They believe the clay was placed there to act as a waterproofing mechanism. If so, the ancient wooden structure is potentially part of an early construction activities for the Money Pit.

In “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 10, the team is expected to get closer to finding “the elusive Oak Island box drains.” These structures can prove that there had been much earlier underwater construction activities in the area.

Aside from finding the box drains, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 10 will also feature other interesting finds. In a short promo video, the team turns their attention to a stone which placement “doesn’t seem natural” per their observation. This could be related to the “carved stone” mentioned in the episode summary that is said to be related to the early Vikings’ presence in the island.

Fast forward to next week, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 11 will continue featuring the excavations around Smith’s Cove. Teasers for next Tuesday, Jan. 29 promise fans there will be an “abundance of ancient structures” to be unearthed in this part of the island. And in the continuing search for the Money Pit, the team will be digging up further into borehole H8 where they hope to find more treasure. Catch new episodes every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on History.
