“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 12 is almost here and it will bring the viewers deeper into the mysteries that the island holds. Up until this point, along with their team, Rick and Marty Lagina have unearthed many interesting artifacts and most of them seem to prove that the Money Pit really exist and treasures are waiting to be discovered.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 12 will feature the chapter titled “Slipway When Wet” and its plot summary reads: “A shocking new discovery at Smith's Cove suggests that the origin of the Oak Island mystery may date much earlier and be more profound than the treasure hunters before ever suspected.”
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 12 is continuing from the point where the Lagina brothers and the rest of their team chanced upon some objects that turned out to be vital clues that point to the existence of the Money Pit. They previously dug up a wooden structure in Smith’s Cove and they believe they were used to make way to the Money Pit. Or perhaps, they were works of other treasure hunters who also searched for the riches decades ago.
There were also assumptions that these structures were French drain that was built to avoid flooding in the cave while people dig for the treasures. However, it was noted that the materials used are not for construction so they still have to find out what the structure was actually used for. The Lagina brothers may reveal some new info in the upcoming “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 12.

In addition, the team found stones with engravings and there were also rocks that appeared to have been cut according to its use but Rick and Marty Lagina do not have a clear idea of what it could be yet. But then again, they suggested that it could have been a box drain. They are still testing the rocks and will see if they can find more clues in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 12.

It was explained that there is a high chance it is really a box drain because coconut fibers were also found near it. It was revealed that in 1850, box drains have these fibers that could have been used for packing and the important thing is that in the past, these coconut fibers were also present in the vicinity of the Money Pit so they think they are getting close to finding it.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 12 is set to air on Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. on History Channel.
