Is Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) in yet another danger? It appears so according to the Episode 4 preview of Season 4 of “Sleepy Hollow.”
“When a monster hits D.C. that can make its victims live out their most personal and haunting memories, the team must find it’s weakness to save one of their own,” the synopsis read.
The promo clip first showed Ichabod in chains walking up to a courthouse. It also appears that Ichabod is on trial, and was further shocked to see the return of his aged son Henry (John Noble), who seems to be a prosecutor.
“It can’t be,” the professor says when he sees his son.
Henry then greets him and said, “Hello father.”
Ichabod is seen later wearing a noose, and is close to being hanged.
Meanwhile, International Business Times deduced that Ichabod’s predicament is because of the “Alien”-like creature he stepped on J Street in Episode 3. Just after arriving to his apartment, the dark liquid proceeded to latch upon the Revolutionary Hero’s face.
In the Episode 4 promo, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) and Ichabod’s new partner, Diana (Janina Gavankar), are shown scramble to save Ichabod by finding the monster’s weakness. It appears they are battling the monster front and about.
Despite the promise of a nail-biting episode, “Sleepy Hollow”’s viewership remains low. TVLine reports that the Season 4 premiere only got a 2.2 million audience and 0.6 demo ratings. In comparison, Episode 3 only managed to pick up 1.92 million viewers, which is the lowest for the show to date.
