“Rick and Morty” season 4, episode 6, is set to return to complete the fourth installment, but the question is when. This Adult Swim animation has been on break for weeks now, but there is still no word when it will return.
Then again, it is certain that it will be out in no time as before the midseason break, the studio announced that “Rick and Morty” season 4 will be back this year. However, it has been a month already since episode 5 was released, and the continuation is not around yet.
No more waiting time?
On Dec. 17, 2019, two days after “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 5 aired, Adult
Swim provided an update about the second part. On its official Twitter, the studio informed the viewers that they will be releasing the next five episodes by writing “‘Rick and Morty’ season 4 will return in 2020.”
This post was also captioned with “You can trust us,” apparently, in an effort to assure fans that they will be back soon. The show is known for long delays, just like what happened in season 3, where a follow up took more than two years to arrive.
Also, show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland already promised that they would not make the viewers wait anymore. They said that season 3 will be the last time that people will wait as they can now work in advance due to the bulk 70 episodes order that they got when “Rick and Morty” season 4 was renewed.
“I think it’s safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between seasons three and four will be the longest and last time that it’s ever so long that it’s ridiculous,” the showrunners told Entertainment Weekly. “I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again.”
But unfortunately, Express reported that even if Adult Swim posted an update to reassure everyone that “Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 is coming soon, fans are still upset because it is still taking a while. They said that the second part should have been out already by now if they have really worked in advance to complete the episodes.
Possible release date as leaked by voice actress
“Rick and Morty” season 4 episode 6 may not return as early as anticipated, and this was hinted by the voice actress for Summer Smith. Spencer Grammer revealed during her interview with Collider that fans may have to wait a bit longer because although they are done, they are refilming some parts that needed to be refilmed. The earliest time that the show will return is February.
