Rockstar Games has built a reputation of being a game studio that releases only quality games. And their latest product, “Red Dead Redemption 2,” continuously preserves this stature.
The studio recently released a sneak peek of the game, introducing fans to the second installment of the franchise. Not even a minute in and one can see that the wait is well worth it as the graphics of “Red Dead Redemption 2” alone is incredible, Express reported.
The color is rich, immersive, and even the tiniest detail has been given the love it deserves. But that’s just the start. “Red Dead Redemption 2” has seen massive improvements on all fronts, including graphics, gameplay, missions, environment, combat system, and so much more.
For instance, “Red Dead Redemption 2” is far more interactive compared to its predecessor, giving players more robust options on how to deal with characters in the game. Its combat system, especially the hand-to-hand altercations, is now more sophisticated as opposed to the previous installment where players could only flail around until a blow connects.
There’s also the option of strangling, beating, or dismissing a certain character when locked in physical combat. Unfortunately, however, the gameplay video of “Red Dead Redemption 2” didn’t feature how advanced the shooting system is, although there were glimpses of it that were shown.
Rockstar Games will be uploading these gameplay videos in the weeks before “Red Dead Redemption 2” is finally released, creating more hype for players who have been eagerly waiting for it. It can be recalled that “Red Dead Redemption” was first introduced to the gaming community in May 2010 and received massive praises from players and critics alike.
Now, the game studio will surely rake in more money as “Red Dead Redemption 2” looks incredible from what they’ve shown so far. Even the relationship of John Marston – the character to be played in the game – with his horse will be crucial as developing the bond between the rider and animal will improve how it will behave in tense situations.
“Red Dead Redemption 2” is slated for release on Oct. 26 but there’s the possibility of pushing that date back given Rockstar Games has a history of doing that sort of thing. Still, if the delay does occur, it will likely be just a few weeks at the most as the game looks polished enough already. In fact, the gameplay video already has 5 million views on YouTube when it was released only on Aug. 9.
