“Power Book II: Ghost” season 1 has finally returned for its second part. It can be recalled that the drama took a break in October after the fifth episode as filming was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
But then again, it was announced by “Power Book II: Ghost” showrunner Courtney Kemp that they have resumed and finally completed filming in November. Thus, a December return was confirmed and episode 6 was aired on Dec. 6.
Plot prediction
With the comeback of the drama, it was predicted that Cooper Saxe will go all-out and go after Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) since he is the real culprit in his own father’s shooting that was shown in “Power” season 6. Saxe teamed up with newcomer Davis Maclean (Method Man) who is also Tasha’s (Naturi Naughton) lawyer.
Now, while Maclean may get Tasha out of prison by proving she is not Ghost’s (Omari Hardwick) shooter, Tasha will surely not like the fact that the lawyer will use her son Tariq to absolve her from the crime.
Now, as Saxe and Maclean work together to bring Tariq down, there is a prediction that the college boy will commit another crime. As per Express, Tariq may kill Saxe to stop him from his plans of putting him in jail.
With his possible death, Cooper Saxe may be the first major death in “Power Book II: Ghost” season 1. On the other hand, Tariq may expand his business and have more connections as he continues to work with Monet Tejada (Mary J. Blige). At any rate, Saxe’s niece Riley Saxe-Merchant (Andrea Lee Christensen) may also be in danger as she worked with her uncle to get Tariq to confess his crime.
Who will be Saxe’s witness to pin Tariq in Ghost’s murder?
Cartermatt mentioned that there are many characters that can be called by Saxe to stand as witness to Tariq’s shooting. Some of the names include Tommy’s mother Elisa Marie, Rashard Tate and Quentin, Tasha’s ex.
In the preview for the upcoming “Power Book II: Ghost” episode, it was revealed that Angela’s sister, Paz, may also show up if Saxe will be able to convince her. Tommy himself is also possible but will he agree to stand as a witness to put Tariq in jail? In any case, as posted on Starz, episode 7’s plot summary reads: “As the heat is turned up on campus, Tariq isn't trying to be left in the cold with Lauren. Or is it Diana he's in to?”
