Poland’s jobless rate is likely to have declined in May. According to a Societe Generale’s research report, the Polish unemployment rate is expected to have dropped to 9.1 percent, slightly lower than the recent Labor Ministry’s data of 9.2 percent. The current statistics showed that the jobless rate in Poland has reached the lowest level in May since 1991.
The total number of jobless people is expected to have declined by 62,100 last month. Also, 124,800 job offers were reported, an increase of 2 percent. The jobless rate in Poland is expected to continue falling in the months to come due to the labor market’s positive trend, according to Societe Generale. In April, the seasonally adjusted jobless rate gauged with LFS methodology came in lower at 6.3 percent.
