The next flagship OnePlus phone series is not the only device to appear in the rumor mill recently. Renders allegedly showing the design of the OnePlus Nord N20 5G were recently published online, suggesting it might have some resemblance with older phones with boxy forms.
OnePlus Nord N20 5G renders were revealed by serial leaker OnLeaks (via 91Mobiles), showing every angle of the unannounced smartphone. Some fans were quick to compare the rumored design to the older iPhones with boxy edges like the iPhone 4 generation.
The alleged OnePlus Nord N20 5G design is also similar to something closer to home, though. The OnePlus X was released in 2015 with the same design element, and long-time fans of the brand have also quickly made the connection.

There is no camera bump on the back of the OnePlus Nord N20 5G. But two larger camera modules will be protruding out of two cutouts aligned vertically, while the third, smaller lens sits in the middle. The renders also show a USB-C port and a 3.5mm jack at the bottom of the device. The selfie camera will be placed in a hole-punch cutout on the top-left corner of the screen, similar to other Nord-branded phones.
Some of the “expected” technical specifications of the OnePlus Nord N20 5G include a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, which is slightly smaller than Nord N10’s 6.49-inch screen. The upcoming phone is also rumored to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Its predecessor used a more traditional rear-mounted sensor.
The OnePlus Nord N20 5G is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC, which has a built-in 5G modem with support for both sub-6 and mmWave bandwidths. The rear cameras could be composed of 48MP, 2MP, and 2MP lenses, along with a 16MP selfie camera.
The same report expects OnePlus Nord N20 5G to have a more compact body than the Nord N10. Its anticipated dimensions are 159.8 x 73.1 x 7.7mm, while its predecessor’s measurements are 163 x 74.7 x 9 mm.
Unfortunately, the report does not mention a release date or launch window for OnePlus Nord N20 5G. OnePlus updated its Nord line earlier this year with the release of the Nord 2, Nord N200 5G, and the new Nord CE 5G. With the Nord N10, the only one needing a successor, the announcement of the leaked device might happen soon.
