The unveiling of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is just around the corner. However, a new leak beats OnePlus to the punch as it reveals a set of official-looking renders and a full trailer for the upcoming smartphone.
Reputable leaker Evan Blass shared a video that runs for a minute and 29 seconds promoting the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 5G. Aside from revealing the phone’s design, it also provides details on its core technical specifications.
The video reveals that the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 750 5G platform, which packs slightly lower processing power than the Snapdragon 765G on the original Nord. The leaked trailer also confirms the device will sport a battery with a bigger capacity of 4500mAh, unlike its predecessor that has a 4115mAh battery.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G will support the OnePlus fast charging tech Warp Charge 30T Plus advertised to charge the phone to 70 percent in just 30 minutes. And despite having a bigger battery, the upcoming mid-ranger will be thinner as it only measures 7.9mm. The first Nord’s thickness measures 8.2mm. Unlike the 2020 device, the CE-named product will also offer a headphone jack.
Display specs are mostly the same. The leak says the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will sport a Fluid AMOLED panel with 90Hz, so it is also likely that it sports a 6.4-inch screen. But another surprise upgrade mentioned in the trailer is an Always-On Display feature.
Meanwhile, OnePlus has also released official renders of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G through TechRadar. Aside from retaining “core” features, the company is also keeping the Blue Void colorway. “That signature blue color was something our users loved a lot, and we wanted to keep it. But we put a new spin on it, because we wanted the Nord CE to have its own personality,” OnePlus Head of Product Oliver Zhang told the publication.

In the leaks Blass shared, several photos show the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be released in new color variants as well. Aside from Blue Void, the device also appears in black and white metallic shades.
Unfortunately for tech fans in North America, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is only confirmed to launch in India and Europe. The device will be presented at the company’s Summer Launch Event on Thursday, June 10, at 4 p.m. CEST.
