Aside from the return of Saitama and his ever-reliable cyborg sidekick Genos, there are speculations that more S-Class Heroes will be introduced in “One Punch Man” season 2. Meanwhile, the manga series’s tournament arc is also one of the anticipated plots included in the continuation of the anime adaptation.
Fans love Saitama not only for his punching powers but also because of his wit and humor. And that just multiplied when several S-Class heroes were introduced before season 1 ended. Luckily for fans, there will not be a shortage of laughs as these funny and powerful heroes are expected to also return in “One Punch Man” season 2.
Fans speculate that some of the most likely heroes to appear in “One Punch Man” season 2 include Bang, Metal Bat, and King. The creators of the anime series are expected to give enough airtime to explore some backstories for these characters in the upcoming anime installment.
On the other hand, the return of S-Class heroes might not be all fun considering that “One Punch Man” season 2’s main villain is Garou a.k.a. the Hero Hunter. Since Garou already promised in the video trailer that he is going to start hunting for heroes, some characters affiliated to the S-Class might end up to be his target.
Those who have read the manga series are likely familiar with the tournament arc. In several online discussions, it is obvious that fans really liked the events related to the Super Fight. With that, there is a big chance that the tournament arc will also be included in “One Punch Man” season 2.
On the surface, the tournament arc was a source of comedy, with Saitama trying to keep his wig on and maintain his disguise while joining the Super Fight. The inclusion of this arc will also fit well with the expected re-appearance of other heroes in “One Punch Man” season 2.
While some regard to the tournament arc as a filler in the manga, other fans argue that it ties in perfectly with the rise of the Monster Association, Garou, and paving the way for the development of several characters including Genos, Sneck, Lightning Max, and more. “One Punch Man” season 2 will be released in April 2019.
