Fans can only expect more difficult times ahead for the main protagonist, Saitama, and other heroes returning in “One Punch Man” season 2. The bald hero is going to face an “unprecedented” level of threat, thanks to the fierce villain Garou.
As many fans have predicted, Garou is going to be the main villain in “One Punch Man” season 2. Garou was barely featured in the first season, making it even more interesting to see just how much danger he can bring to the people on Earth.
Fans who have read the manga series may recall that Garou is known for two aliases, which are “Human Monster” and “Hero Hunter.” And the official trailer already hints that Garou will surely live up to these monikers in “One Punch Man” season 2.
Several lines from the actual series, with some presumably spoken by Saitama and Garou, are featured in the “One Punch Man” season 2 trailer. For example, someone is warning Saitama that an “unprecedented, God-level threat” is coming his way. This is obviously a reference to Garou and the presence of more monsters crawling on the Earth’s surface.
The “One Punch Man” season 2 official synopsis also confirms that Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth getting plagued by an increased presence of monsters is happening. Saitama, alongside Genos, is expected to act on these threats, especially now that he is officially affiliated to the Hero Association. But their task will not be easy with Garou around.
In the same video trailer, it can be read that Garou declares, “From here on out, I’m your opponent. The hunt begins.” This is clearly a reference to Garou’s hatred of heroes. He hates them so much that it is his goal to hunt and kill them all. This is obviously one of his activities which will make things more difficult for Saitama in “One Punch Man” season 2, which will premiere in April 2019.
