Nike has released the official images of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ISO “Black,” a sleek, monochrome skate shoe perfect for fall. In addition, Nike heads to Gotham with the upcoming Air Max 180 “Joker,” inspired by the iconic villain's vibrant color palette.
Nike SB Dunk Pro ‘Anthracite’ Brings a Halloween Twist to the Monochrome Series
Nike SB’s monochrome Dunk series continues to strengthen its ties with the skateboarding community, and this year’s “Anthracite” Dunk Pro fits right into the Halloween season’s offerings. With a jet-black design and an orange Swoosh tag on the tongue, the “Anthracite” Dunk Pro subtly evokes a Halloween vibe, although this was more of a coincidence than an intentional design.
Part of Nike SB’s Orange Label series, this retail-exclusive shoe stays true to the minimalist monochrome style seen in previous drops. Unlike earlier editions with white midsoles and gum soles, the all-black layout of the “Anthracite” adds a new dimension to the collection.
According to Sneaker News, the Nike SB Dunk Pro “Anthracite” is currently rolling out in skate shops for $115, but it won’t be available on SNKRS or Nike.com. Those looking to add this sleek pair to their Halloween rotation should check their local skate retailers soon.
Nike Air Max 180 ‘Joker’ Brings Villainous Vibes With Green and Purple Accents for 2024 Release
While Joker: Folie à Deux may have left some comic franchise fans underwhelmed, Nike is stepping in with some retail relief in the form of an Air Max 180 that subtly nods to Batman’s iconic nemesis, the Joker.
The shoe’s design starts with a black mesh base, layered with suede overlays and contrasted by a white leather Swoosh. The detailing, however, draws comparisons to the notorious villain. The laces, heel branding, and outsole are decked in an “Action Green” shade reminiscent of the Joker’s signature dyed hair.
To further evoke the character’s appearance, dark purple accents appear on the tongue branding, heel TPU structure, and the Air bubbles, drawing a connection to the Joker's distinctive wardrobe. Despite the resemblance, this release is not an official collaboration with DC, similar to other green and purple “Joker” colorways on models like the Dunk Low.
The Air Max 180 “Joker” is anticipated to be released during the 2024 holiday season and will cost $150.
