In what promises to be one of the most highly anticipated sneaker releases in recent years, the legendary “Canary” colorway of the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 may finally see a retail release in Holiday 2025, according to rumors from @EldenMonitors. According to Sneaker News, this would mark the first time these sought-after shoes, often displayed in museums or held by elite collectors, would be available to the general public.
The “Canary” Off-White x Air Jordan 1 first gained widespread attention in 2021 on Virgil Abloh’s Public Domain website, where it was teased alongside other unreleased Off-White x Nike/Jordan collaborations. Despite the hype, there were no official updates from Nike or Off-White until now, with the rumored release date potentially making it the most critical drop of 2025.
The iconic “Canary” yellow has only appeared on a few Off-White x Nike shoes, most notably the Air Force 1 Mid “Grim Reaper,” which received a lukewarm response. However, if these rumors hold, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “Canary” could quickly become one of the most significant Jordan releases of the year.
Nike Air Max 1 Gets a Winter-Ready Makeover for 2024 with Durable Cold-Weather Materials
While the Nike Air Max 1 is not typically associated with winter, an upcoming 2024 release is set to change that perception. Nike's designers have reimagined the classic Tinker Hatfield silhouette with cold-weather materials, transforming the 1980s icon into a durable, winter-ready sneaker.
The upcoming version features a base made from padded ripstop material inspired by down jackets and winter gear. The quarter and forefoot overlay are crafted from textured leather in “Dark Smoke Grey” shades, complemented by a hairy suede mudguard and upper eye stay. Subtle “Flash Crimson” accents appear on the tongue and heel branding, while an oversized Swoosh runs along the entire length of the outsole, visible through the semi-translucent tread.
Expected to be released in Fall 2024 for $160, this iteration of the Air Max 1 represents a $20 increase over the standard model, justified by its unique, weather-resistant construction.
