"Now You See Me 3" remains one of the most elusive movies over recent years. After the film was reportedly in the early stages of production, people and companies involved in the series have been completely quiet about the future of the series.
With that, its loyal fans have been left to speculate on when "Now You See Me 3" would premiere and what's next for the Four Horsemen when that happens. While everything about the movie is still a mystery, one thing fans can be certain about is that the Four Horsemen would certainly face another force that could attempt to either exploit or put their magic skills to shame.
‘Now You See Me 3’ plot predictions
The first and second movies somehow had a similar approach in revealing who the real enemies were. “Now You See Me” made it seem like Arthur Tressler (Michael Cane) was the ultimate target, and while he was one of the adversaries, the overall plot led to the revelation about the real identity of Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo). And for that aspect of the storyline, Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) turned out to be the top target for Dylan’s very personal reasons.
“Now You See Me 2” started out with Walter Marby (Daniel Radcliffe) holding the Four Horsemen hostage. But it was eventually revealed that he is an illegitimate son of Arthur, who was seeking revenge on the magicians.
The sequel concluded with Arthur and Walter getting arrested, thus, suggesting that this part of the story is now closed. While the main villain in “Now You See Me 3” can always be written as someone linked with these characters, it seems like making the same connection between the first and second movie would be a stretch now. That leads to the possibility of having an all-new enemy in the third movie.
‘Now You See Me 3’: Latest production update
Planning for “Now You See Me 3” was confirmed back in spring 2015, but there have not been many updates since then. Reports came out in 2016 that Jon M. Chu is coming back to direct. However, it appears that the movie will no longer be penned by Ed Solomon, who worked on the first two movies’ scripts. It was reported in late 2016 that writing duo Neil Widener and Gavin James were signed by Lionsgate for the upcoming movie.
