‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 9, entitled “Es Good,” will feature Jess attempting a casual relationship with Robbie. Meanwhile, Schmidt will enlist Nick’s help in dealing with a house contractor.
The synopsis for episode 9 posted on TV.com reads, “Schmidt (Max Greenfield) gets Nick (Jake Johnson) to help him earn the respect of a troublesome house contractor (guest star Billy Gardell);
Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Robby (Nelson Franklin) test their ability to be in a casual relationship; and Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Cece (Hannah Simone) argue the pros and cons of not being single.”
In the incoming episode, Jess and Robby will find out if they are compatible enough in a casual relationship. Jess dove back into the dating world in preceding episodes, with Robby as her new main man. She obviously still has feelings for Nick but she finally decided to open up her prospects in order to move on.
Jess and Robbie got off at an awkward start. Although she knew she didn’t reciprocate his feelings and needed some sort of spark to stay interested, Robby continued to stick around. Perhaps episode 9 will feature new developments in their new relationship as Jess prods Robby with going on a double date, according to Christian Times.
Meanwhile, the promo reveals that Schmidt will attempt to mirror Nick as he struggles to earn the respect of a difficult house contractor. The promo opens to Nick giving Schmidt some tips on how to act. He tells his friend, “You wanna adjust your pants a lot.” Nick also instructs Schmidt on how to wiggle his shoulder properly, to which the latter fails miserably.
‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 9, entitled “Es Good,” is scheduled to air on FOx on December 6, 2016. It will be followed by episode 10, entitled "Christmas Eve Eve," scheduled for December 13.
The series is executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer.
