NCT promoted for the first time since 2018 as one unit with all 23 members. In the midst of unit promotions, the group as a whole achieved the title “double million sellers” as their studio album has now reached over one million sales.

As of Wednesday, December 23, NCT achieved “double million-seller” status as their album “RESONANCE Pt. 2” has now sold over 1.2 million copies following its release back in November. “RESONANCE Pt. 1” also achieved the same million-seller status and certification from Gaon chart seven days after its release, and as of December 22, the album sold over 1.4 million copies. Combined, the total album sales went up to more than 2.6 million copies worldwide.

All members of the group promoted together for “RESONANCE” promotions under the NCT U moniker. This the second time the group has promoted as a whole since 2018 and at the time, they were referred to as NCT 2018 with 18 members. The group has since added five members to their lineup, and have performed their song “RESONANCE” in the recent MNET Asian Music Awards and the 2020 KBS Song Festival.

NCT’s units have also achieved high album sales throughout promotions this year. Coming back with “Neo Zone” earlier in March, NCT 127’s album sold 1.4 million in sales so far. The album was shortly followed by a repackaged version, “Neo Zone: The Final Round.” NCT Dream came back in April with “Reload” that sold over 600,000 copies. WayV’s first studio album, “Awaken the World” also raked in high album sales upon its release in June, selling over 200,000 copies. Overall, NCT achieved over five million in album sales this year.

NCT will also be having their first concert as an entire group through the Naver Beyond Live platform. The online concert, titled “NCT: RESONANCE ‘Global Wave’” will take place on Sunday, December 27. Tickets are already available through Yes24. NCT becomes the next SM Entertainment artist to have an online event through the Beyond Live platform, following TVXQ, who will be holding their online fan meeting to celebrate their 17th anniversary on December 26.
