The finale for “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 just came out and with the reception for the segment reaching new heights, it is unthinkable that “Mob Psycho 100” Season 3 would not be coming. With the third run of Mob’s adventures being all but guaranteed to happen, the question now is when it would come out and what comes next. The answer will involve a broccoli stalk that will ruin lives and will cause Dimple to be an enemy, once more.
As Comic Book reports, “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 just had one heck of a season finale. Everything about it was perfect, from the pacing to the animation that blew even the viewers away, never mind the leader of Claw. As is often the case with fights involving this kind-hearted protagonist, it also didn’t end the way that would have involved death. This will have a profound impact on “Mob Psycho 100” Season 3.
The way that Mob defeated the leader of Claw is by basically directed the energy he built-up into the seeds that were in his pocket. This then led to the growth of what has got to be the biggest broccoli in anime history. While this may seem like an effective gag that represents a hilarious end to a serious confrontation, “Mob Psycho 100” Season 3 will prove otherwise.
This plant will basically cause some serious troubles in “Mob Psycho 100” Season 3 and will cause Mob to lose a friend in Dimple. In fact, this is what will lead other Espers to fight once more and be turned against the protagonist. From there, Mob will become his worst enemy and that of the whole world.
For now, there has been no confirmation of “Mob Psycho 100” Season 3 being greenlit. There is an OVA coming and it would appear that the announcement will come after that. If work starts this year, though, fans should see the anime’s return in 2021.
