The previous episode of “Mob Psycho 100” season 2 was certainly the entertaining one, with Reigen finally seeing what life is like without Mob. Fortunately, the two patched things up in the end, and now they are heading towards an even better development. On that note, many viewers might have forgotten that this is essentially Mob’s story. In “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 Episode 8, this story could see its biggest event yet with a confession to Tsubomi after a marathon.
As TheAnimeScrolls reports, Mob was finally able to break things off with Reigen in the previous episode. This is seriously good character development for the protagonist since it means he has become less dependent on the man. This trend is further pushed in “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 Episode 8 when Mob aims for the top 10 positions in the upcoming marathon.
Now, it’s worth reminding viewers that the reason Mob is even trying to improve his physical body is so that he could finally attract the attention of the girl named Tsubomi. She is the subject of the psychic’s affection and represents a huge hurdle that must be overcome if Mob is to become more complete as a person. “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 Episode 8 might actually see this subject move towards a better direction.
On that note, this show is not exactly known for giving fans exactly the kinds of developments that they are expecting. As such, “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 Episode 8 will not likely follow the same tired anime trope of the guy getting the girl after putting in the effort.
In fact, “Mob Psycho 100” Season 2 Episode 8 might just end without Mob ever getting closer to Tsubomi at all. This is just the kind of anime it is and viewers will see that when it airs on Feb. 25.
