Melania Trump recently sparked rumors that her marriage to Donald Trump is on the brink of a divorce.
After it was announced that Trump’s impeachment has been acquitted, the POTUS thanked his family for their support. Before leaving the venue, he approached the first lady in an attempt to give her a kiss on the lips.
But in a surprising move, the FLOTUS turned her cheek to prevent her husband from kissing her. Trump’s smooch then landed on Melania’s cheek.
On Twitter, some netizens couldn’t help but share their thoughts on the hilarious blunder.
“President Donald Trump ends his speech on impeachment acquittal by apologizing to his family. @POTUS calls First Lady Melania Trump up to the podium for a kiss before walking away together,” Twitter user @MELANIAJTRUMP uploaded alongside a series of photos of the couple.
“Every time I see a white man try to kiss or caress their wives like Donald Trump and Melania or Rush and that lady, they always turn away. Like, your wife must not love your racist [expletive] if she can’t bring herself to kiss you and congratulate you,” Twitter user @jonyboi24 said.
“Never see Donald J. Trump kiss Melania on the lips anymore. She won’t even let him kiss her arse,” Twitter user @CareyFrisch said.
Meanwhile, some netizens are convinced that it’s only a matter of time before Trump and Melania file for divorce. After all, they don’t seem like a happy couple.
“I’ll bet Melania Trump divorces Donald as soon as he is no longer the ‘resident’ in the WH. She has to be embarrassed from the fat orange [expletive] that he is,” Twitter user @baldy_bean said.
“Don’t worry Donald, it will all soon be over in November and you can play golf every single day. Just think, no more boring briefings, no press questions, no more being ostracized by leaders of Democratic nations, and no more Melania. The divorce will both be speedy and spendy,” Twitter user @HThorne14 said.
