Melania Trump started her three-day “Be Best” campaign tour against bullying on Monday, March 4. The tour is part of her program on children’s welfare which is her main work in the White House.
While on tour, one member of the press directly asked Melania Trump about the recent public apology issued by Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, regarding Stormy Daniels. The apology was made last week during a hearing at the Congress.
According to The Daily Mail, while Melania Trump was on the tour to promote her signature initiative that includes the well-being of children, opioid abuse and online safety, the FLOTUS did not react or reply back when asked if she accepted Michael Cohen’s apology. The report stated that the question was shouted but the First Lady chose to ignore it.
It can be recalled that Michael Cohen was in the Congress last week for his testimony against Donald Trump and at one point, he apologized to the FLOTUS for lying when Stormy Daniels alleged that she had an affair with POTUS who was still a presidential candidate at that time. He attested that Donald Trump instructed him to lie to Melania.
“He asked me to pay off an adult film star with whom he had an affair, and to lie to his wife about it, which I did,” he said at the hearing. “Lying to the First Lady is one of my biggest regrets. She is a kind, good person. I respect her greatly — and she did not deserve that.”
At any rate, Melania Trump went on to do her work as the U.S. First Lady following the encounter with the press. USA Today reported that her first stop in the tour was Tulsa, Oklahoma where she stayed for a while at the Dove School of Discovery. Later, she proceeded to Seattle and visited Microsoft as she supports its efforts to design new applications that will teach children about online safety and help those with disabilities as well.
The last leg of Melania Trump’s three-day tour would be in Las Vegas. She will head to the city of lights on Tuesday to give a speech about the issues on opioid.
