‘Madam Secretary’ season 3’s episode 9, entitled "Snap Back," is set to follow Elizabeth as she attempts to stop Israel’s plans of waging war against Iran following the United Nation’s reinstated sanctions against Iran for its nuclear activities.
The synopsis for episode 9 posted on Carter Matt reads, “As the U.N. Security Council considers reinstating sanctions against Iran for its suspected nuclear activities, Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) tries to stop Israel from taking matters into its own hands when it threatens military action against the Iranians.
Also, Russell (Zeljko Ivanek) pressures Henry (Tim Daly) to woo his old Air Force buddy, Congressman Jeff Pearson (Michael Cerveris), to support President Dalton (Keith Carradine) in the House’s election vote, and Stevie (Wallis Currie-Wood) asks Russell for a recommendation to Harvard Law School.”
The incoming episode will feature Israel’s response to Iran’s violation of the peace deal. Elizabeth will have to head to the Middle East to handle the situation and stop Israel from threatening military action against Iran. According to Ecumenical News, the United Nations will not be too pleased with her involvement and she may end up getting in trouble.
Meanwhile, Russell believes that he may be able to help solve President Dalton’s predicament. Recent allegations against President Dalton’s administration made his campaign suffer. Russell tasks Henry to convince Congressman Pearson, a friend from his time on the Air Force, to rally his support for the President and push for the House’s election vote.
In another storyline, Stevie would need to ask Russell for a recommendation to Harvard Law as it seems that her family name is not enough to get her in the prestigious institution.
‘Madam Secretary’ season 3’s episode 9, entitled "Snap Back," is scheduled to air on CBS on December 11, 2016. It was directed by Sam Hoffman and written by Shalisha Francis. It will be followed by episode 10, entitled “The Race,” scheduled to air on December 18.
