‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 12, titled “Brotherly Love,” is set to feature the boys investigating a case of a stolen impounded car containing cocaine. Murtaugh will be fighting his wife in court since she is involved as a defense attorney.
The synopsis for “Brotherly Love” posted on TV Guide reads, “Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) investigate the theft of a car containing massive amounts of cocaine from an impound lot; and butt heads with a brilliant defense attorney: Trish Murtaugh (Keesha Sharp). In other events, Murtaugh experiences chest pains.”
It seems that the Murtaughs may encounter some strain in their professional and personal lives as they go head to head in court when a car containing massive amounts of cocaine is stolen from an impound lot. Roger is set to have some conflict with his brilliant lawyer wife Trish as she is involved in the investigation.
Meanwhile, Roger will be experiencing frightening chest pains. Perhaps this is due to the stress of the case complicated by stress with his wife.
During a previous interview with Screener, executive producer Matthew Miller teased the impending clash between Roger and Trish. When asked to describe Sharp’s character, Miller replied, “I think what it is, is that she herself as a character is a very strong person and a very strong woman.”
Miller continued, “It was important to me to flesh her out — since we’re doing a series, as opposed to a couple of movies where you’re just telling one A-story, we need something where all of our characters are well-rounded and developed, as she’s sort of the glue that keeps it all together between the two guys…”
He added, “That said, we’ll also get to see a story… in the new year that will put Murtaugh and Riggs in direct conflict with the attorney version of Trish. This happens when they arrest a former client of Trish’s. It’s a really fun episode that puts the dynamic together of Trish vs. the guys.”
‘Lethal Weapon’ season 1’s episode 12, titled “Brotherly Love,” is scheduled to be released on Fox on January 18, 2017. It will be followed by episode 13, titled "The Seal is Broken," scheduled for January 25.
